About the Centre

Breathe exists to offer a safe, inclusive space for you to explore and enhance your emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

This can be accomplished by participating in:

"It is possible to take proactive, preventive action to improve your overall health and wellness. Fostering more connected, meaningful, and compassionate relationships with ourselves and everyone around us can lead to a happier, calmer, more value-driven life."

What is Mindfulness?

“Mindfulness” means existing in a state of being fully present and engaged in this moment, without judgment, resistance, or attachment to any internal or external experience.

It involves cultivating awareness and attention to our present experience, including sensations, thoughts, emotions, and the surrounding environment and being with what is. This allows us the opportunity to move from a place of reacting to life to skillfully responding to life in a way that best serves us and aligns us with what matters most. Practising mindfulness has significant benefits for mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

Mindfulness is an innate capacity that exists in all of us and can seamlessly become a way of life, fostering a greater feeling of wellbeing, resilience, perspective, and a fuller appreciation of the present moment.
